In this post I blithered about how putting a wand up your sleeve is kind of impractical, and I didn't think it was actually done anywhere in canon.

That crow pie looks good, thanks; don't mind if I do. Ron does it in SS/PS, round about the troll scene, I think it is. If it appears anywhere else, I haven't yet seen, but all you need is one example to disprove an absolute.

I remember. You made me stick a ruler up my sleeve, and I agree, it's not the most practical of places to keep something that breaks fairly easy (apart from the fact that it's uncomfortable).

Umm...aaare... already built into Hogwarts uniforms, then, or what? Standardly into all wizard robes?

Perhaps. Why not? Or something you can buy, or get from your older brothers. (And most likely something that wasn't ever thoroughly thought through. ;) )
